Correspondent Conference, 2007

 

Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Alphonso Jackson, Headlines List of High Profile Speakers

On February 26th and 27th, 2007, Bulls Capital Partners hosted its' first annual Correspondent Conference. The purpose of the conference was to enhance the product knowledge of the current correspondent network as well as recognize those correspondents who contributed to Bulls Capital Partners' outstanding second year of production totaling $139 million during 2006. The following firms are correspondents of Bulls Capital Partners and had representatives attend the conference -- Capital Solutions, Eastern Union Funding, Evanston Financial, Jones Lang LaSalle, SunTrust, and Syracuse Securities.

Conference activities included a review of 2006 activities as well as an outlook for 2007. Discussions centered on key issues related to sourcing, underwriting, closing, and servicing loans in today's competitive market environment. Additionally a session on the application of technology to the mortgage industry was also conducted. In addition to Alphonso Jackson, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, other speakers included senior Fannie Mae executives including, Kenneth J. Bacon, executive vice president - Housing and Community Development (HCD) and Phillip J. Weber, senior vice president - Multifamily. Several Fannie Mae product specialists also participated and reviewed several innovative Fannie Mae products and enhancements including Supplemental Financing, Single Asset Substitution, Mezzanine Financing and Student Housing.
