Mary Ann
Jones
is the Senior Vice President and Chief
Underwriter for
Bulls Capital Partners, LLC a Fannie Mae Delegated
Underwriter and Servicer. Bulls Capital is a
business
venture between Goldman Sachs Commercial Mortgage
Capital, LP and Bulls Multifamily, LLC, a
minority-controlled firm headed by President and CEO
Herman Bulls. In her capacity as Chief Underwriter she
is responsible for portfolio credit quality and asset
management. Ms Jones leads the development and
implementation of credit policy and procedures by reviewing
all transactions for structure, quality, and agency
compliance associated with diverse multi-family debt
products including affordable, market rate, seniors and
student housing. She also manages the
underwriting and asset management staff.
Background
Prior to joining Bulls Capital, Ms Jones served as a
Director for CIT Group in its Commercial Real Estate
Division where she was responsible for leading the West
Coast expansion and originations efforts for structured
real estate products including bridge and mezzanine debt
on retail, office, multi-family and light industrial
property types. In 2001 Ms Jones joined Centerline
Capital (formerly Chartermac Mortgage Capital) where she
served primarily as its Chief Underwriter for a
nationwide platform through 2007. At Centerline
Capital Ms. Jones was involved in the structure and
underwriting of highly complex transactions involving
both conventional and affordable debt including bond
credit enhancements and mezzanine financing totaling in
excess of 1.2 Billion. She completed HUD’s MAP 101
training in May 2003.
Prior to joining
Centerline Capital, Ms Jones had extensive corporate and
real estate lending experience. She was Vice President
and Regional Manager for Southern Pacific Bank in the
commercial real estate division. While at Southern
Pacific she served as the Senior Credit Officer for the
income property group responsible for oversight and
approval of the division's annual loan production on
multifamily, office, retail and industrial properties.
Prior to this, Ms. Jones held both credit and
origination positions at Sanwa Bank California,
California Federal, and Union Bank of California.
Education
Ms. Jones received a B.Sc. degree in Business
Administration, with honors, from California State
University, Long Beach, and completed the Pacific Coast
Banking School program, in Seattle, WA. She was
recognized by Fannie Mae at the 2003 DUS conference for
“Excellence in Credit Leadership in 2002”. Ms. Jones is
a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and has
developed and taught commercial lending programs for the
National Association of Mortgage Brokers. She has been
active in civic affairs serving as an elected
councilwoman and mayor in Cypress, CA.
